Pier Productions provides a one-stop shop for the production of audio books. We have been making single voice readings for almost twenty five years for BBC Radio and our Directors and studio engineers have a wealth of experience in producing abridged and cover to cover readings.
Celia de Wolff who works with us regularly was responsible for all of Stephen Fry’s readings of the Harry Potter novels. David Blount has produced Dickens: Public Life and Private Passion written and read by Peter Ackroyd and The Mission Song by John le Carré, read by Paterson Joseph.
We regularly work with sound engineers Mike Woolley and Simon James who both produce and record readings. They often work as a team simultaneously recording and editing which delivers maximum value for the client.
Over the years Pier has built relationships with a lot of high profile talent through its work in radio drama and readings for BBC Radio 4’s Book at Bedtime and Book of the Week.
