In the same year Lance Armstrong wins the Tour De France. Inspired by a signed poster from his new hero, Kieran pushes harder and starts looking to Lance for answers to some of life’s big questions. But what happens when the truth emerges about Lance’s fall from the saddle of grace? How will Kieran’s sense of betrayal affect his own performance?
A heartfelt comic tale of love, treachery and cycling, Kieran plays all the parts as he tries to reconcile his feelings about his lycra-clad idol.
The story follows Kieran’s life and relationship with cycling from that fateful day in 2003 to 2014 when Yorkshire became part of the Tour de France. Lance has played to sold out venues crowds across the country and received a Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe . A rising star of British comedy, Kieran’s recent television work includes playing the role of Ian Lavender in the BBC 2 drama We’re Doomed! The Dad’s Army Story.
This performance was recorded by Pier Productions in front of a live audience at Bush Hall for BBC Radio 4.
