He specialises in taking complex production ideas and translating them into efficiently run and beautifully mixed recordings.
He also designs audio workflows and installs and maintains audio systems and computers, including the technical facilities at Pier, and he’s part of a team training producers in radio feature making techniques for the BBC Academy. He also runs Avid Pro Tools and Sadie training courses to advanced level.
He has 20 years experience of producing music and creating and manipulating sound in a unique way that has resulted in invitations to perform at the BFI and Royal Festival Hall, and a recent sell-out UK and European tour described as “mesmerising”.
With the team in London he produced over 100 audiobooks a year, as well as recording radio programmes, game voices, adverts, interviews and voiceovers.
Now, he lives and works as a freelancer in Brighton – recording, editing and mixing audio for radio, tv, games and the web.
His projects for Pier include Book at Bedtime, Book of the Week, Making History on BBC Radio 4 and discussions for the Open University.
