Pier recently delivered a series of short live action and animated films for the BBC Bitesize website as learning aids for GCSE English language. The films use humour and take a counter intuitive approach to help the audience with planning essays, spelling, punctuation, comparing texts and writing to persuade. An animated paperclip even makes a surprise appearance to a weary student working late at night, in a film about writing non fiction; the paperclip presenting himself as a gift of a subject for an essay!
Written by Jerome Vincent and directed by Lubna Malik, with animation by a young team of Brighton animators led by Scott Weston. The series was produced by David Blount and the Executive Producer was Jane Quinn.
